The Long Run

Running, training, journaling, and blogging are not new. The internet is saturated with running resources, inspiration and training plans. The running community is well supported with plenty of information available for all types of runners. Even so, I think there is still room for one more running blog. This one. The Long Run. Join my friends and I as we train for a variety of running adventures. We will share our highs, lows, challenges, successes, and some funny stories along the way.

Louis Meglen

Louis Meglen is my brother-in-law and badass runner. He has completed more than one full marathon, several half marathons, several trail runs and a 50K that took him just under ten hours. He's ran the Chicago full marathon and qualifying for Boston is on his bucket list.

Louis's running profile: I just felt like runnin'. I like to run - sometimes too far and too fast.

Louis's 2024 Grandma's Goal: Lou is taking the role of spectator at the 2024 Grandma's half/full races. Lou and Sara have three small girls and he wants them along the course to cheer on their mom. He says he is "retired" but we all know it is a "hiatus". He is registered for the Friday night William A. Irving 5K and we will be there cheering him on - should we take bets if he wears a shirt?
